Season of Epiphany
Epiphany means to reveal or make known. This season begins with the revelation of Christ’s birth to the Wise Ones and continues to celebrate Christ’s revelation to all as the holy Savior of all people, from Epiphany Sunday to Transfiguration Sunday. The season's color is green, with white for the special days.
Baptism of the Lord Sunday is the Sunday immediately following the visitation of the wise men, known as the Epiphany. On this day we remember the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, as he was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.
